Dear Parents/Guardians:

It’s that time of year again for Cap & Gown photos. Our district will be using Lifetouch as the official provider for these pictures, and this will be the only Cap & Gown photography service offered through the school.

You do have the option to opt out of having your child photographed by Lifetouch. However, if you choose to do so, you will be responsible for providing your own photo for your child.

Please note that Lifetouch also supplies our graduation diplomas. If your child does not have their photo taken by Lifetouch, an alternative diploma will be issued.

Thank You,
Mrs. Jessica Jewell

"Friday Hat Day" Our 6th Grade Class has helped to write a new Hat Policy that was presented to our SBDM committee!! We are beyond excited to approve the policy after our 6th Graders worked hard to persuade our SBDM to hear their voices...and we are pleased to say their voices were heard. Please take a minute to read the Persuasive Piece that these amazing 6th Graders wrote using the Best Practices in Writing, as well as putting together a parent note, a petition, and suggested rules. These students presented their case and showed that their voices can make a difference!! The following 6th Graders were rewarded a Leadership Award for taking charge of putting together the new "Hat Policy" on behalf of the 6th grade class and the students of Warfield Elementary! Coraline Spence, McKenna Fletcher, Hunter McGinnis, Cora Taylor, Jessica Jude, Josh Mollett, Elizabeth Dials, Abby Webb, Aaron Dalton, Damien Moore, Max Smith, Zoey Murphy I have attached the student work they submitted along with a few pictures of their PowerPoint as well.

Book Fair! Our school's BOGO fair is coming soon! We would like to invite you to become a sponsor. What makes the Book Fair one of the best days for kids? For starters, it offers the rare (and for the younger kids, the very first!) chance to shop for themselves. Whether it's discovering a new genre or picking up the latest book in their favorite series. The fair is also a place where inspiring connections are made- with characters, fellow fans, and a lifelong love of reading. Warfield Elementary is a K-6th school with around 340 students. While the average cost of a book at the fair is $8, many of our school families lack the financial means for even one purchase. Your sponsorship will ensure every student can experience our special brand of #bookjoy with their classmates and leave the fair with something they'll love! Here's a look at how your sponsorship can make a meaningful difference: Sponsor 5 students with 40 dollars. Sponsor 10 students with 80 dollars. Sponsor 100 students with 800 dollars. @everyone
