What an exciting time to be a part of the Cardinal Nation. August 2019 marked an impressive milestone for the Martin County Community. Students and staff of Sheldon Clark High School moved into a beautiful, new state of the art facility at 137 Holly Bush Road, Inez, KY. We said goodbye to Sheldon Clark High School and the era of Martin County High School ensued. Committed to the same high quality of education for our students, we collaborated with all stakeholders to develop a mission, vision and motto worthy of our new school. Following several meetings and numerous suggestions, the mission of “We will provide a high-quality learning environment in order to empower and encourage ALL students to be successful citizens in an ever-changing world. Our vision is “Preparing ALL students for tomorrow’s challenges . . . Life, College, Career.” Our motto, proudly displayed on our school’s digital sign challenges students to “Prepare today for success tomorrow.” I am honored to serve as the first principal of Martin County High School. It is my goal that every student that attends our school not only receives the education and skills necessary to live a successful life; but creates cherished memories that will last a lifetime. May every staff member feel valued and supported for the difference they are making in young lives. May every community member feel welcomed and appreciated for the vital role they occupy as stakeholders.
